It's really sad how air and light polluted our cities have become. I can't thank my stars enough that I have my own little-known sky-watching spot close to my apartment..Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8070362.post-1121773858293379252005-07-19T17:20:00.000+05:302005-07-19T17:20:00.000+05:30Anita,I've taken a couple of astronomy courses (U ...Anita,

I've taken a couple of astronomy courses (U of Texas, Austin), at a time in my life when I seriously considered pursuing it. But really, what I know about it, I got via reading for my own pleasure.

Your description of the Grand Teton reminds me of stargazing at Big Bend Park in Texas, which remains my favourite spot in the entire USofA. The night sky was just unbelievable, as I'm sure it was at Teton. Lucky you had a good astronomer to tell you some stuff!Dilip D'Souzahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08221707482541503243noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8070362.post-1121770464812522152005-07-19T16:24:00.000+05:302005-07-19T16:24:00.000+05:30That is really very very interesting. The stars were out to party and the sky was full. Got a lovely basic astronomy lesson from a astronomer who volunteered at the park during summers. Your post reminded me of him. thanksAnitahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14979233087322199017noreply@blogger.com
