cause i find it interesting that you in fact can name your top 10 books. i'd struggle to do so, and i feel sure you've read a heck of a lot more than i have

Sachin, Maclaverty is a delight to meet, and after a point I forgot that he was such a fine writer. I just enjoyed his company. Which says something by itself.

Roshan, it was a task to come up with those ten -- many others might equally have been there. I was also supposed to write a para about each. In the end I viewed it as not so much a "top ten" as a "ten favourites" -- meaning ten out of many others. In any case, the list should be up on rediff books in a couple of days, I will alert you when that happens.
