Yobs and Yurok

Jerry Rao's Fog of Political Correctness, Indian Express, June 13.

Uma MD's reaction to Rao, on her blog, June 13.

My reaction, still to Rao, Indian Express, June 30. (The Web page doesn't carry my name ... ! Haven't seen the paper version to see if it appeared there. I swear it's my article, though).

The print version does carry your name! I re-read it in the Indian Express. Nice article.

Ah. The problem here is the presence of something called a "public library". Tax money is forcibly extracted from hardworking folks and spent on books. Now, what kind of books should be bought and in what languages should those books be?

There can never be a good answer for this and whatever the decision, it will only end up making everyone unhappy.

The best solution is to get rid of public libraries and such. Indians in UK can get together and form Indian libraries with books in Indian languages, purchased with voluntary money from interested people. Then, there will nothing to debate or argue about.
