Lines #4

From my all-time favourite.

The world is stopping us,
Stay far away, don't come near,
But how can anyone teach the heart...
The way you are, is full of beauty
And my love is mad,
Let there be no mistakes made by me.

Surely as the last word of line 1 is "us", the last word of the last line is also "us", not "me"? :-)

.. The night is intoxicating,
The weather is amazing,
Today in this stupor, the whole wide world is -
By this drunk(ard?) season, one is enticed-ed-ed-ed

LOL

Good stuff.

This one's a toughie. Let's try anway.

This night intoxicates..
.. drunk are the moments.
Today it seems..
the whole world is intoxicated.

Our eyes meet,
(and the effect is) as if..
.. restless in a tempest..
.. a wave crashes onto the shore.

Kraktik, you have a point. But I think I prefer the image of the world as stopping the two, but the hope that there won't be mistakes attached to the one singing.

The "enticed-ed-ed" is a nice touch-ouch-ouch.

Pankaj, it is a toughie. Actually I picked the third verse because I couldn't decide on good words for the first two, which I'm glad to see that you both have attempted.

But what a great song! I've said it before and I'll say it any number of times: I think this one is one of the finest songs ever written anywhere in the world. Imagery without greatly complex words, gorgeous music ...

Let there be no mistakes made by me

The acts of lovers cannot be perfect as they usually are in a trance. A calculated love cannot be true. I would rather have said:
Let nobody be hurt because of me

Pl. excuse me for my anti-perfectionist views.
