Ankush Saikia's thoughtful, observant essay Spotting Veron was shortlisted for the 2005 Outlook/Picador nonfiction competition. (My Ride Across the River won).

Ankush has clearly gone places since then: his first novel, Jet City Woman, has just been published. He has this blog to go with it.
