Brownies

My friend and colleague Jim Daley (name changed to protect all those who have touched mimosa recently) has figured in this space before. I repeat here, without his permission and with slight modifications and for your eating or other pleasure, his recipe for what I shall now call "Jim Daley's Tried and Trusted Recipe for Homestyle Christmas Brownies (The Taste That's Finger-Lickin' Good) (At Least I Think So) (TM)."

Ingredients:
1 cup cocoa, 2 cups walnuts, 2 eggs, 1 cup milk, 2 cups flour, rum to taste. And maybe also to drink.

Method:
Mix cocoa and flour. Put milk back in the fridge. Pour mix into the trash. Tell guests to go home. Throw walnuts and eggs at them as they depart. Drink rum. Sing "O Susanna Ye Faithful".

Merry Christmas Dilip , to all of you.

And go easy on the rum!

Darn it, I was half excited about actually making a batch without using brownie mix. :)

Merry Christmas. Have a great new year.

We had none of the ingredients in stock, except the flour and the rum. Left the flour in the shelf. It worked very well.
