Never intersect

"[W]hat strikes you most [here] is its deep provincialism. Our world, seemingly global, is in reality a planet of thousands of the most varied and never intersecting provinces. ... For most people, the real world ends on the threshold of their house, at the edge of their village, or, at the very most, on the border of their valley."

Ryszard Kapuscinski wrote those lines about Rwanda. Here in India, I quote him after terror to ask, do we need to think about thresholds, or provinces that never intersect?

Vinasa kaale vipareetha buddhi....

Or as they say for whom the Gods wish to destroy they make them mad first....

I only hope we see this thing thro with minimum loss of life and property...we managed to have a spell of relative peace in the last 100-120 years ( compared to Europe)...you could say the British were there but they were no near as bad as Islamic terrorists..

I can see the clouds of war on the horizon...if not now then in the near future. There is only that much a society can take.

Organised religions...such madness, mad followers, mad hierarchy, creaking structures neither refusing to yield nor cannot stand up firmly...easy prey to clever politicians.

Europe has made progress for sure, no denying it. They have learnt their lessons well. First they clearly told the Pope to confine himself to the Church ; then fought the First World War ( apparently a war that nobody knew for sure why they got into) and then stood up to the Nazis.

Why don't they just enforce President's rule in Maha.. I mean scores of people murdered; complete breakdown of law and oder; isn't this a fit case ....what's all this pathetic haggling between Sonia and Pawar.
