So here's the thing. Some months ago, I posted here about takeaways that I, well, took away from an ad for the Chate International Academy. These were important takeaways, because they involved both 720 kilometres and insects that went in circles and dazzling capabilities (of which I clearly have none, because otherwise I might have caught the error in using that word "both").
Well, I'm glad I had those takeaways. Because today's news is that there are going to be some other takeaways from that very same Chate International Academy. Specifically, the one I mean is that the Academy has been fined Rs 500,000 for "misleading students by using the national emblem on its advertisement."
Sort of fitting, in more ways than one, that this news comes to us on January 26.

We just wanted to stop by and let you know that we love what you're doing with Death Ends Fun - really taken aback by your perspective, writing and selection of culture in the city. We also wanted to offer up a way for us to possibly work together.
Who are we? We’re two London based editors with deceptively French sounding names. We travel a lot and we know how difficult it can be to find the best blogs in the cities we visit. That's crucial information if you want to really understand a place beneath the surface and make some real connections. It's not just about knowing the good places to eat, drink and hang out, but the feeling, sentiment and pulse within a city through the insider's perspective — from music to politics, arts to science.
So we're doing something about it by starting ChorusandEcho.com. C+E is way to give our readers informed access to ideas and cities across the world, connecting creative communities and at the same time giving our family of contributors a far larger audience and an opportunity for them to make a little bit (but hopefully a lot!) more money from their content.
We have spent months pouring over thousands upon thousands of blogs and sites and have decided to launch in 20 cities with a handful of blogs in each. We would love to work with you there in Mumbai and internationally. We would use the content you post up on your blog, so there’s no extra work for you at all. At the same time you would be credited for any content, which means extra traffic for Death Ends Fun.
We wanted to attach the one-pager for you to have a look at, but couldn't find your email address. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to get in touch with either of us and we'll get back to you straight away.
Let us know if you’re up for getting involved!
Luc Le Corre and Jean-Robert.
