Srilankatous

Not to belabour a point or anything, but I just wanted to point out that my last post, You left out "dazzling", actually was going to be only the Coleridge quote, "Plagiarists are always suspicious of being stolen from." I thought it was excellent. Serendipitously (or should I say "Srilankatously"), I ran into this Cricinfo/DNA case just before I sat down to post it.

It is excellent particularly because of the suspicion.

Besides which, of course, and not just because of the cricket connection, this reminds me of this earlier case of plagiarism, where the man seems to have stolen from himself. (Not such an unusual thing to do).

It's interesting that you bring up an example of 'self plagiarism'. Just three days ago, John Quiggin posted something on this topic in an academic context.
