Taking a toll

There's a sea link being built across the sea from Bandra to Worli. In an article titled "Part of sea link nears completion" (Hindustan Times, May 21), you will learn that when it is complete:
The toll for the sea link will be Rs 38 and Rs 64 for small and heavy vehicles respectively. ... The speed limit on the sea link would be around Rs 100 km/ph.
That's right, the speed limit will be 100 rupee-kilometres per pH.

In other words: the more alkaline you get as you zip along the sea link, the more rupees you pay, and the longer the link gets, kilometre-wise.

Don't know about you, but to me this sounds like a subliminal invitation to drink and drive.

It took me a moment to think through the math, then I laughed for several minutes. One of the funniest things I've seen
