Mouse-ying along to the music

Where did Tom play Liszt's Hungarian Rhapsody #2? Who soaks up the applause? What did they (well ...) win for playing it?

Cat concerto. Yes I googled! But oh, how I remember poor Tom having to play that last section over and lover again!!

Read somewhere on the web that there was a plagiarism thing with a Bugs Bunny version of this (with a mouse also). Apparently the Bugs Bunny version is more interesting but haven't seen it.

More interesting: who played the piano score in the Cat Concerto version?

Easy: Tom.

Also, what did they win?

Yeah well, was talking about the real piano player not the cartoon character!

No idea about what they win: I always thought it was just a performance. I remember applause when they are done.

Apaprently always been a mystery, but here's an attempt at solving it.

sbrk is right! "Cat Concerto" won the 1946 Oscar.

I haven't seen "Rhapsody Rabbit", but this one is a classic, and if that's supposed to be even better, it must splendid indeed!
