Euphemism of the month

A Qantas jet suddenly plunges 2000 metres, sending passengers flying about the cabin, seriously injuring several of them.

One passenger describes the experience as "horrendous, absolutely gruesome, terrible, the worst experience of my life".

Qantas describes it as a "sudden change in altitude".

Thus making it the first time ever that someone's altitude determined the attitude...

well...i've been in one such a thingy on Air India once a long time ago. And while it was a tough experience, wearing the seatbelt saved me a trip up to the ceiling of the cabin which many people found to be suddenly in too close a proximity.
